The Myanmar Women’s League was established in 2016 as the nation’s first organized women’s football league competition.Since its inception, MWL has become the cornerstone of women’s football development in Myanmar, producing numerous national team players and providing a platform for clubs to compete at the highest domestic level.As the league celebrates its 10th anniversary in the 2026–27 season, MWL continues to expand its reach, strengthen its professional standards, and contribute to the long-term growth of women’s football nationwide.
